6/14/2010 - Burglaries From Autos

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics help finding those responsible for thefts from at least fourteen cars that occurred during the nighttime hours of Sunday June 6th.  Items taken from unlocked cars parked on the street or in driveways included sunglasses, cash, several I-Pods, and GPS units, an H-P laptop, professional Sony Handicam, and a camouflage colored .22 caliber semi-auto pistol.   These thefts occurred from Southeastern Drive, east in areas along 41st Street, and past Sycamore Avenue.

6/7/2010 - Residential Burglaries

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics help finding those responsible for the burglary of a residential garage that occurred over the night of Saturday May 29th.  Some of the items reported taken include a ground blind, range finders, a GPS, golf clubs in a red, white, and blue bag, Dewalt table saw and miter saw, laser level, and a spool of 12-2 wire.  The incident took place in southeast Sioux Falls on St Francis Lane, located north of 49th Street and west of Southeastern Avenue.

5/31/2010 - Bank Bags Stolen

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics help finding those responsible for the theft of several bank bags containing cash from a vehicle parked behind Mr. Nifty at 800 East 10th Street on Monday May 24th.  At around 3:30 pm the victim reported that a suspect took several larger bank bags marked “HyVee”, a gray bag with work schedules, and a bible from his vehicle.  The suspect was seen fleeing with another suspect in a dark colored Impala with license plates possibly ending in “321”.  The suspect is described as a light skinned black male about 5’-9”, of medium build with a moustache, wearing a gray or dark colored vest, and a hood over his head.  Total loss is estimated at several thousand dollars.

5/24/2010 - Residential Burglaries

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for a series of six residential burglaries from Thursday May 6th thru Monday May 10th.  In all six cases, X Box 360 or PS3 electronic gaming systems were taken.  Four of the six cases occurred in about a twelve block area centered at about 18th Street and Euclid Avenue.

5/10/2010 - Poker Club Robbed

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for robbing a poker club at 904 South Cliff Avenue on Saturday April 24th.  The robbery occurred at about 3:30pm when two suspects entered the business armed with a sub machinegun or assault rifle.  The suspects made off with cash, keys, and cell phones.  The suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing, ski masks, and gloves.  One is about 6’ with a thicker build while the other is about 5’-8” and slender.  The may have fled in a silver or gold minivan.

5/3/2010 - Home Invasion Burglary

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for a home invasion robbery that occurred at about 9:15pm on Saturday March 20th near South 4th Avenue and East 35th Street.  When the victim answered a knock at his door, two black male suspects forced their way in.  The suspects made off with cash and credit cards.  The suspects are described as 5’-10” tall, one about 160 pounds and the other about 200.  One of the suspects may associate with a white female that has a small child and drives a red Chrysler mini-van.

4/19/2010 - Two Residential Burglaries

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for two nighttime burglaries of unlocked, occupied residences in the area of 33rd Street and Kiwanis Avenue.  In both cases purses were taken and discarded a short distance away.  Only cash is missing.  Both incidents occurred over the night of Thursday April 8th or early morning of April 9th.  Area residents are encouraged to lock their doors at night and immediately report any unusual nighttime dog barking or other unusual activity.  Total loss in these two cases is over $3,000.

4/12/2010 - Two Stolen Cars Found Burned

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for the thefts of two cars that were later found completely destroyed by arson.  A 1999 red Pontiac Grand Prix was taken from the area of 22nd Street and South Cleveland Avenue over the night of Tuesday March 9th.  It was found in a field about two miles west of Sioux Falls near 57th Street on Wednesday March 24th.  The second car is a white 2006 Buick Lacrosse, taken from the area of South Cliff Avenue and 64th Street over the night of Monday March 31st.  It was found about one mile south of Sioux Falls near Western Avenue and Lincoln County Highway 106 on Wednesday April 7th.

4/5/2010 - Attempted Rape and Aggravated Assault

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding the person responsible for the attempted rape and aggravated assault of a forty year old female victim.  The incident occurred around 4:00am on Thursday March 25th near Randolph Lane and Dardenella Road or west of 18th Street and Marion Road.  The victim was awakened by her dog barking to find the suspect, armed with a knife, in her house.  The victim received several cuts while struggling with the suspect who eventually fled on foot.  The suspect is described as a male with a raspy voice, about 6’ tall and 200 pounds, wearing dark clothing and a mask.

3/22/2010 - Residential Burglaries

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for at least five residential burglaries in the southwest part of town over the night of Sunday March 14th or morning of Monday March 15th.  The suspect entered unlocked homes and attached garages taking cash and purses while the residents slept.  A garage door opener from a car parked outside was used to open one garage.  These incidents occurred in an area from 22nd Street to 41st Street and from Valley View Road to Marion Road.
