On March 29, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business in the area of East 26th Street and South Cleveland Avenue for a robbery. The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the business and headed straight to the liquor aisle.  The suspect proceeded to grab multiple bottles of liquor and then attempted to exit the store without paying.  When the suspect was confronted by the clerk, the suspect started swinging a liquor bottle and struck the clerk multiple times.

On April 1st, Officers of the Sioux Falls Police Department were dispatched to the area of W. 9th Street and S. Marion Road for a burglary. The investigation found that an unknown suspect had forced entry into a nearby business.  Once inside, the suspect stole approximately $3,500 worth of copper wire.  The suspect was believed to have arrived on a black scooter with purple handlebars.  The damage done to the building and the value of the stolen property is approximately $8,500.

The investigation found unknown suspects had forced entry into a building under construction.  Once inside, the suspects stole numerous construction tools.  The damage done to the building and the value of the stolen property is approximately $5,000.

On March 17, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a residence in the area of West 49th Street and South Solberg Avenue for a burglary. The investigation found unknown suspects had forced entry into a detached garage.  Once inside, the suspects stole three firearms.  The firearms are a Savage .22 rifle, a Glock 17 9mm handgun, and a Ruger LCP .380 handgun.  The damage done to the garage and the value of the stolen property is approximately $3,000.

On March 11, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business in the area of West Madison Street and North Louise Avenue for a theft. The investigation found unknown suspects had stolen approximately 750 feet of copper wire.  The value of the stolen wire is approximately $30,000.00

    On March 02, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a report of a stolen cargo trailer in the 800 blk of E 52nd Street North. The investigation found that a tan, half ton Chevy Pickup was used to steal the trailer.  The cargo trailer was described as a 7 X 16, 2017 Gray Carry-On Trailer.  The trailer also had racing decals on it.  The value of the stolen trailer is approximately $10,000.00.

On February 23, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a job site for a burglary that occurred near East 57th Street and South Powder House Road. The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the construction trailer by smashing a window.  Once inside, the suspect stole numerous constructions tools.  The value of the damage done to the construction trailer and the stolen property is approximately $21,000.

On February 14, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a church parking lot for a theft that occurred near East 26th Street and South Cleveland Avenue. The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the parking lot and smashed a window on the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect stole cash, credit cards, and other miscellaneous items.  The suspect then went to multiple stores and used the victim’s credit card.  The value of the damage done to the victim’s vehicle and the stolen property is approximately $4,000.

On February 5, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a job site for a theft that occurred near West Madison Street and North Terry Avenue. The investigation found that unknown suspects entered the job site after hours.  The suspects stole six spools of copper wire and fled from the job site.  The value of the stolen property is approximately $10,000.

February 05, 2026

On January 31, 2026, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business for an armed robbery that occurred near West 9th Street and South Kiwanis Avenue. The investigation found that three unknown suspects had come into the business and attempted to steal alcohol.  A bystander inside the store confronted the suspects about the alcohol.  One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired one round at the bystander and he was struck in the foot.  The three suspects then fled in an unknown direction of travel.

On December 22, 2025, at approximately 0700hrs, the Sioux Falls Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle near the intersection of West Oak Street and S Holly Ave.  The Victim had woken up to discover their vehicle had been stolen during the overnight hours.  The Suspect(s) had used the Victim’s stolen vehicle in another car break-in where they stole numerous power tools worth approximately $2,000.  The Victim’s vehicle was eventually recovered in the 3700 blk of South Willow Ave, SFSD.  SFPD 2025-26610.

On December 3, 2025, the Sioux Falls Police Department responded to a business near the intersection of West 41st Street and South Louise Avenue for a robbery.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect entered the store and walked up to the employee working.  The suspect asked the employee to make change for him and then produced a knife.  The suspect took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register and fled in an unknown direction.  The suspect is described as an African American male, approximately 6’ tall with an average build.  The suspect was wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.  SFPD 2025-25373.

On November 25th, 2025, the Sioux Falls Police Department received a burglary report near the intersection of West 2nd Street and North Western Ave.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect forced their way into a locked storage unit by cutting the lock on the unit.  Once inside, the suspect stole two shotguns.  The 1st shotgun was a 12 gauge, Benelli SBE, black in color.  The 2nd shotgun was a 20 gauge, single shot.  The value of the damage done to the property and the value of the stolen property is approximately $3,000. On November 8th, 2025, the Sioux Falls Police Department received a burglary report near the intersection of West 41st Street and South Shirley Ave.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect forced their way into the business by breaking the glass doors.  Once inside, the suspect stole multiple pieces of jewelry, precious metals, and coins.  The value of the damage done to the property and the value of the stolen property combined is approximately $20,000.
