On December 8, 2023, Sioux Falls Police responded to a commercial business near East 54th Street North and North 4th Avenue for a theft.  The investigation found that an unknown suspect(s) had stolen a large amount of extruded aluminum from bins that were next to the building.  The total value of the stolen items is approximately $8,000.

On December 5, 2023, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business near East Rice Street and North Cliff Avenue for a burglary.  The investigation found that unknown suspects had forced entry into the business by using a vehicle to ram the doors.  Once inside, the suspects loaded an ATM into a vehicle and left the scene. The total value of the stolen items and damage done to the business was approximately $12,000.  SFPD CC# 23-26845.

October 12, 2023

On October 4, 2023, Sioux Falls Police responded to a park near West Madison Street and North West Avenue for an attempted kidnapping.  The investigation found that a male suspect in his 20s or 30s, wearing a white or grey tank top, and a black ski mask approached a girl at the park.  Police are asking that anyone in the neighborhood who may have noticed anything suspicious between 4-8pm to report it.

September 14, 2023

Over the course of the last week, the Sioux Falls Police Department has responded to multiple reports of package thefts.  The packages were delivered to the victim’s homes and then left on the front porch. The Sioux Falls Police Department is asking people to follow these tips to protect you from being a victim.  1.  Ask a neighbor to pick up your packages for you if you know you’re not going to be home.  2.  Have items delivered to your work.  3. If a retailer allows it, select a specific time for delivery when you will be home.
